I am not what you would call a "driven" person. I kind of take life as it comes. I'm not really a go-getter. I let things happen more than I make them happen. And this isn't a bad thing. It just is what it is. It takes all kinds of people to make the world go round.
Which brings me to my point, my nephew, Emory. This is my sister Elizabeth's son. This dude is going to run the world one day. He's only 12 years old, but everything he does, he does full speed! A quick list of things I've seen him do and do well. Ride BMX bikes, run his own ice cream bike (think ice cream truck but on a bike), play the piano by ear, and win wrestling tournaments.
But mostly Emory is really good at catching fish. And he loves doing it. He lives in Birmingham, in the city. But I'm pretty sure my brother in law JG takes him fishing most every day. If we are ever at the beach, Emory fishes from morning until night. He then goes to sleep early so he can get up the next morning at 5AM and go fishing. If he is ever at my parents house, which has a pond in front it, he is fishing. And he doesn't just fish, he catches fish. All. The. Time.
So, recently he has taken it another step further. He has started his own YouTube fishing channel. It's really fun to watch. Mine and my kids favorite is when he tests his rod and reel to see if he can reel faster than his dog can run.
Anyway, Emory is going to be famous one day and I thought you should know. If you want to say you knew Emory Carver before he was really famous. Just click here and check out his YouTube channel. He would really appreciate it, and you will definitely be entertained. If you like it, please click the subscribe button. If we could get him up to 100 subscribers he would be so happy!
The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Emory Carver . . . And remember, even though it is cold and doesn't feel like fishing weather right now, warm weather will be here before you know it. Come see us and let us get you set up for success this Spring!
